about the F-Song...

This website is dedicated to the free distribution of The F-Song and The F-Song Video by David Smithson.

In early 2005, as another presidential election and inauguration had passed in the United States, and it became clear that once again very little was being learned from history, I found myself no longer able to just sit back and listen to it all. So I decided to take a bubble bath, clean myself, and sing a song that, until there is really something more substantial and appropriate to sing about, I would like my children to sing and to learn from. The song text was conceived and written in 2005, and the video was developed in 2005-2006 and first shown in March-April this year at the Mediamatic in Amsterdam.

It is my hope that you will also sing along, watch, download, forward, show it to your friends (all under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 2.5 License), and thereby participate in holding the individuals who are accountable for representing the people's interests to actually do so. For all other presentations of the work not covered by this license, please, contact me.
